We provide ongoing updated relevant resources to our families and community by using our resource space which is located in main guidance off to the left side. We have supplied our school social worker with a magazine rack and have asked her to fill it with relevant resources for students and parents to get pertinent information on sensitive topics or issues.  Ms. Dubin will be checking weekly to see what pamphlets are being read the most. Principal Thompson  has also included educational materials into his community emails and Friday robocalls to keep parents informed on concerns that effect our school  and community.

To bridge the cultural gap between family and staff Stoneman Douglas will host multi-cultural assemblies where all ethnic communities and clubs come together to present their culture to the school and community.  The school also holds weekly meetings of the different cultural groups and honor societies, and these groups then meet monthly to continue to bridge the gap within the school.
