To increase community, Apollo has expanded our SEL and family engagement with SEL Supports.  Apollo has reached out to more than 8 churches and businesses to help build and develop our youth and help implement our SEL curriculum.
Apollo partners with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Hollywood Professional Firefighters Association and our SRO (Hollywood Police Department) to assist our families with social services supports, counseling, mental health services and financial assistance.
Parental engagement to community involvement and engagement has expanded as  Apollo continues to to invite principals, teachers, and students from our feeder schools to our events.  This strategy will increase parent involvement as well. Many of our parents who have students in different schools in the area find it difficult to go to events at separate schools.  By inviting our elementary and high schools in the area to our events, parents are better able to support their children and experience Apollo Middle School at its best.
