Plan Type

We will continue to promote the importance of daily attendance via parent communication and maintaining a daily academic focus. We currently have 0 students with 21 days or more absent and less than 5% with 10 days or more.

 

 

2: Section #2: Purpose of Plan/Projection

Purpose of Plan:

With each day that students attend class they are exposed to daily rigor, enrichment and remediation. All of which is vital to increase student achievement.

Unexcused Absences

Increased diligence in teachers taking daily attendance via Pinnacle.
Parent links attached to period by period absences.

 

Excessive Excused Absences
(5 or more in a single month)

Guidance counselors will make the inital contact with parents to set up conferences to discover reasons for excessive absences.
School Social Worker will be retained for cases that warrant their participation.

 

Tardiness

After the 4th tardy, students are referred to their grade level Assistant Principal.
Students beyond the 4th tardy are brought to the MTSS team to create and implement an attendance plan.
 

 

Excessive Early Sign Out

Guidance counselors will make the inital contact with parents to set up conferences to discover reasons for excessive early sign outs.
School Social Worker will be retained for cases that warrant their participation.

 

Pattern of Non-Attendance
