Plan Type

Our plan to have a positive impact in the attendance pattern of our students. By the end of the school year our goal is to increase the overall student attendance by 1 percent.

Purpose of Plan:

The purpose of our plan is to minimize student absenteeism and maximize student attendance and instructional time, thus enhancing student achievement. The projections based on last years data should be minimized by 1%.

Unexcused Absences

  • Teachers take attandance daily
  • Acknowledge student presence by greeting students at the door to create a positive welcoming climate
  • Provide parents and students with the attendance policy vis school website and handbook
  • Build rapport and relationships to establish and achieve specific attendance goals
  • Once a month we will recognize and reward individuals and classes for improved attendance
  • Parent Contact
  • Review Monthly Reports
  • Raise awareness in school and community via parent nights, school website
  • Student meeting with Principal
  • BTIP participant/Release of Records

 

Excessive Excused Absences
(5 or more in a single month)

  • Teachers take attandance daily
  • Acknowledge student presence by greeting students at the door to create a positive welcoming climate
