Apollo Middle School Advisory Council 2018-2019 
Meeting Minutes 
March 06, 2019 
I. Opening 
The regular meeting of the Apollo Middle School Advisory Council was called to order 
at 6:00 pm on March 06, 2019 in Media Center by Ms. Bajwa. 
Roll call deferred. 
II. Approval of SAC Meeting Minutes 
01/09/19 Motion approved by: 1st Ms Meloun and 2nd Ms. Vergara 
02/06/19 Motion approved by: 1st Mr Fenty and 2nd Ms. Bajwa 
III. Principal Reports

IV. New Business for SAC 
Request recruit for new SAC member, chair nomination and secretary 
Eprove survey for school improvement plans. Everyone involved in school including 
students and parents to take survey. Need 60% for survey completion. Survey is on the 
Apollo website. GO to website, parent link survey has the link to survey. All ideas and 
suggestions are welcome. 5 to 10 minutes to complete. Student to complete during 
reading classes. April 4th is last day. 
Question on survey asking why student left school. Refer questions to e-solution for 
specific questions regarding survey. School does not have any monitoring in the survey. 
It is managed by the company and final survey is sent to the District. 
SAC bylaws review- 1 chair person; 1 secretary; 12 members needed. Bylaw review 
changes; more specific and transparent. More parent communication, Open House, Titlle 
1 night school. 
V. Upcoming Events/Unfinished Business 
Title 1 Night- College and career readiness night March 12, 2019 at 6PM at KEVA. 
Specific to 8th graders. Grade 6 and 7th welcome to attend. 

VI. Open Discussion 
Spring Picture- Student can come out of uniform. Pictures taken at KEVA. It will be 
announced in the morning for the students in the cafeteria. Announcement made 
throughout the day. To be completed by 12pm 
Mr. Fernandez: staff of the year for Apollo Middle school. 
VII. Adjournment 
The next general meeting will be at 6:pm on April 03, 2019 in the Media Center. 
Meeting was adjourned at 6:26 pm. 1st motion approved by Ms. Vergara. 2nd motion
