These students are a select group that are within a 2-point difference of either being proficient or not on their upcoming FSA ELA test. They are mostly advanced students that were hand selected as an opportunity for growth. Funding for this program was approved by SAC just before the break which explains the short time for preparation and notification. Workshops will be every Tuesday and Thursday unless there is an early release date such as this week. Early release weeks are Tuesday and Wednesday. The workshop will begin January 5, 2016 and will end on March 31, 2016. There will be no workshops during the weeks of March 7th – 28th. Students are to report to their assigned workshop teacher instead of reporting to class. The workshop teacher will report their attendance via cab. Every effort was taken to not impact core classroom teachers. However, there were a few students that did need to miss a core class due to the schedule. Please be lenient with these students with missing work or assignments. Again, we are attempting to provide these students with extra support so that their performance on the FSA will bolster our school within our SES Band. Thank you in advance for this opportunity for growth for our TTMS students. Should you have any questions or concerns, contact me. Cedric D.
