National Achievement Scholarship Program

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Alister Bent and Christina Thomas for being recognized as a Semi-Finalist in the National Achievement Scholarship Program. The National Achievement program honors the brightest African American students in the country for their 11th grade PSAT scores.

More than 160,00 students requested consideration in the 2012 National Achievement Scholarship Program; about 1,600 were named Semi-finalist on the basis of their selection Index scores (the sum of critical reading, mathematics, and writing skills scores) on the 2010 PSAT. These two students will find out in January of 2012 if they were selected as a Finalist for this prestigious scholarship.

Congratulations again to Alister Bent and Christina Thomas for their excellence. On behalf of Nova High School, we would like to wish both students the best of luck!
