SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Yearbooks are here and we will begin distributing them Wednesday morning at 8:30 at the T-19 door. Books for $80 will go off sale tonight at midnight online and sales will resume Wednesday for $85 cash at the T-19 door. Get yours and don't be left out! There are not that many extras! You will need some kind of ID card to pick up your yearbook. We will not give the book to your friends. Books will also be distributed during both lunches, but NOT during any class periods.
There will be a MANDATORY meeting for anyone interested in joining the Cross Country team. We will be meeting in T17 after school on Thursday, May 17th.

The last day of check payments is 5/11/2012. And no more charging.
"Any student interested in SWIMMING or DIVING for Nova High School needs to attend a mandatory meeting at the Nova Aquatic Center's East Bleachers on Wednesday, May 23, at 9:00AM"
As of April 27, 2012, there will be not refunds on any of the vending machines…if a student puts money in the vending machine and does not receive either their product and/or money (change), they will be required to call the 800 number that is listed on the machine.
Attention all Student that completed the last 4 hour class, your certificates are in M-2, please come by to pick it up! The next 4 hour DATA class will be here at Nova on May 24th. This is the 4 hour class you need to get your learner’s permit. Please take a registration form on the door in the Math Building, Room M2. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Grimmett in M2.
Hey TITANS! The next blood drive is May 16th. Get prepared early and go to T1 to get a permission slip!! Nova has been nominated for the HIGHEST PERCENT PARTICIPATION AWARD! We need your help to win! Come, donate, save lives all day, May 16th.
Any students interested in being a part of the guard next year is welcome to come learn how to spin after school on Thursdays, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m, starting this week until the end of the year! We will meet in the band room and please wear gym clothes! Come out and be a part of an excelling program! For more information please see Ms. Sheley in S8!
Seniors! You must bring your money with you if you are taking cap and gown pictures. If you didn't have your money with you today, appointments are still available for tomorrow. See Mrs. Alioto in T19 for an appt. You can also pay on line if you follow the directions on the informational flyer.
Seniors, if you have been awarded a scholarship you must let Mrs. Kirtman know. All scholarship recipients will be recognized at Senior Awards Night, but we can't recognize you if we don't know who you are!
Please bring a copy of your scholarship award letter, email or certificate to Mrs. Kirtman's office.
Attention Seniors – Stop by the 12th grade office with your college acceptance letters to write and pin the schools on the “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” board. Go class of 2012!!
Yearbooks prices will increase from $75 to $80 as of March 9th. Buy your book before Spring Break to guarantee that you'll receive one. The order has been placed and only a limited amount of extra books will be delivered. Buy your book online at the school web site or through Mrs. Alioto in T-19.
Id cards are still available in T-19 during lunch for $1. Senior ID cards are in! now too. Id cards earn you many discounts, so pick yours up today!
Passes for both visits are available in the BRACE Office for Juniors who have completed the Class of 2013 Information Survey on the NovaBRACE website.
Don't know where to find the survey? Just go to the Nova High website, click on Guidance, select BRACE from the dropdown menu and click on Class of 2013 Information Survey! Easy.
Students are NOT allowed to park along the fence in the Junior lot. We park buses there and it is making it difficult to move them. Any student who parks along the fence will receive a Sat Detention.
Attention Titans – Don’t forget First Priority will be hosting our club meetings every Wednesday during 1st lunch in Room P13 and M2 for 2nd lunch.
The Step Team concession will re-open today after school.
Please come and get the famous NHS all beef hot dog.
Attention Seniors! Beginning today, you can apply for Bright Futures! Just go to the NovaBRACE website and click on the Apply for Bright Futures link. Check your inboxes for an email from Mrs. Kirtman for more details about the application process.
Whether or not you have the grades or test scores you need right now, you should still apply as soon as possible!
If you don't have a computer or internet access, you can use the computers in Mrs. Kirtman's office. Don't miss out on getting the Bright Futures Scholarship you deserve!

Nova’s BRACE Office is now open! Mrs. Kirtman will be on campus Tuesdays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. – 3:40 p.m. in Upper MS. SAT and ACT fee waivers are now being issued for upcoming tests. College application fee waivers are also available. You are eligible for testing waivers, if you receive free or reduced lunch or are in foster care.
