Non-Instructional Support Positions
and Specific Category Information

Procedure for Applying for a Non-Instructional Support Position.
Applicants must submit documentation (Résumé, HS Diploma/GED, Certificates, etc.) listed in the job posting to the location that is advertising a vacant position. 

Substitute Custodial and Substitute Food Service applicants must be processed for employment prior to being hired. If you are interested in these positions, you will need to bring your drivers' license, or photo ID, social security card and a *high school diploma/GED (*custodial positions only) and  one money order in the amount of $70.00, payable to the Broward County School Board with you to the Employment Center.

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS (PARAPROFESSIONALS)

Qualifications:

Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Education Development (GED) Testing Program and passing score (minimum 457) on the ParaPro Test. Click here to view registration information from ParaPro test.

OR

An official transcript from an accredited university reflecting a minimum of 60 credit hours or an Associate's degree or higher conferred.

Special qualifications as indicated in the paraprofessional job descriptions

CLERICAL

Qualifications:
Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Education Development (GED) Testing Program

College degree or sixty semester hours when indicated in the job description

Meet the minimum year (s) of work experience if applicable, as indicated in the job description

Special qualifications as indicated in the clerical job description

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

CAMPUS MONITOR/SECURITY SPECIALIST

Qualifications:
Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Education Development (GED) Testing Program

Meet the minimum year(s) of work experience as indicated in the job description

Special qualifications as indicated in the Campus Monitor/Security Specialist job description

TRANSPORTATION - BUS OPERATOR/BUS ATTENDANT

Qualifications:
Meet the minimum year(s) of work experience as indicated in the job description

Special qualification as indicated in the Transportation job descriptions

CHILD CARE MONITOR

Qualifications:
Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Education Development (GED) Testing Program

Meet the minimum year(s) of experience with children when applicable

College degree in the appropriate field when applicable
