Highly qualified Education Support Professionals (paraprofessionals)

The Federal No Child Left Behind Legislation requires all paraprofessionals in Title I and Differentiated
       Accountability schools who work in an instructional capacity to obtain the “Highly Qualified” Certification.

    Paraprofessionals must meet one (1) of the following three options to be designated as “Highly Qualified”:

·   Official transcript (no copies accepted) from an accredited university reflecting an Associate’s Degree or  higher conferred   

·  Official transcript (no copies accepted) from an accredited university reflecting minimum of  60 credit hours completed          

·  Test results reflecting a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test
