1. Data Collection Tools

Data Collection tools are helpful because they provide a “picture” of your classroom/work environment.  The goal for using tools is to help the researcher clarify information, process knowledge, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. 




You need a systematic way of collecting multiple sources of data and the time to reflect upon what you are discovering. Data is necessary to quantify information and can be collected in a variety of ways. Triangulation requires the collection of data from a variety of sources, in a variety of ways, with a variety of perspectives.
