Grantee/Policy Council

The Head Start Programs provide shared governance with the School Board and the Policy Council through which parents can participate in policy making or in other decisions about the program. The Policy Council consists of sixteen members and sixteen alternates. The membership includes twelve parents of children currently enrolled in Head Start, two parents of children currently enrolled in Early Head Start and two community representatives.
