A message from our Media Specialist, Mrs. Morrow

My mission as Harbordale’s Media specialist is to instill a life-long love of reading and to provide reading and storytelling experiences for our students. There are many lessons and opportunities available for students to learn information literacy skills, such as gathering and evaluating information. Students also develop habits of using library resources for life-long learning.

Technology tools are used extensively in the Media Center to enhance instruction and learning. Students utilize the laptops, the interactive white board, the document camera, the computer microscope, and other technology equipment to conduct research and produce classroom presentations.

The media curriculum supports the classroom curriculum, the Sunshine State Standards and the School Improvement Plan.
