Exceptional Student Education Advisory Council

The Mission of Exceptional Student (ESE) Advisory Council is to develop an organized, educated, and proactive voice in advocation for programming, funding, and the rights of students with exceptionalities within our school district and community that results in a positive impact on student achievement. Parent education and training are integral to our mission.

The Exceptional Student Education Advisory Council is responsible for providing input on the effectiveness of educational programs and services for students with exceptionalities.

Parents of exceptional students are encouraged to attend the monthly ESE Advisory Council meetings.

ATTENTION PARENTS OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES
The annual Parent Survey indicating how well schools are supporting parents' involvement in their child's education can be accessed online beginning February 1, 2011. To access and complete the survey, log on to www.ESESurvey.com. If you are unable to complete an online survey, please request a paper survey from your child's school. The parent survey allows you to provide meaningful feedback to the Florida Department of Education concerning educational services your child is receiving. Remember the parent survey is only for parents of students with disabilities in grades prekindergarten through 12th grade.
