What is the Opportunity Scholarship Program?

  • The Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSP) is a state of Florida school choice program. Opportunity Scholarships are available for eligible students to select and attend another public school of choice.
  • Public school students may be eligible to participate in OSP if their assigned school is identified by the State as an OSP Sending School by having earned a grade of F or three consecutive grades of D or lower.
  • The Florida Department of Education identifies eligible OSP Sending Schools after Florida Standards Asssesment school grades are released.

Who is eligible?

  • Students who live within the boundary and are registered to attend one of the following State identified 2016-17 OSP Eligible Schools listed below

When can I participate in the 2016-17 Opportunity Scholarship Program?

  • Parents may pick up a paper application at their OSP School or download a pdf application
  • Completed hard copy applications must be received no later than August 19, 2016
  • Parents will be notified by email and US Mail once the application has processed.
