We have something for everyone!

School-aged children living within Broward County are assigned to a school based on their primary residential address and grade level. This is the child's boundary school. We understand families want to have options for their child's education, which may include a choice other than their boundary school. Parents may request for their child to attend a different school during the 2017/18 School Choice Phase II application window, May 1, 2017 - September 1, 2017. Broward County Public Schools offers the following choices:

Magnet Programs
Magnet Programs:

offering in-depth experiences in specific areas of interest

Innovative Programs
Innovative Programs:

offering courses of study centered on specific themes

Nova Schools
Nova Schools:

providing four schools on one campus (Kindergarten - 12)

Reassignments
Reassignments:

allowing attendance to a non-boundary school without transportation

Additional school choice categories with varying application timelines include Broward Virtual School, College Academy @ Broward College and the John M. McKay Scholarship for Students with Disabilities.
