2006 All-American Baseball Game Presented by PlayStation
Hackettstown, NJ (April 22, 2006) --- Florida’s David Christensen of Stoneman Douglas H.S. will be selected and announced to the only all-star baseball game for senior athletes - The 2006 All-American Baseball Game presented by PlayStation. Christensen joins an elite list of athletes playing in the 4th annual East vs. West all-star classic on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at Isotopes Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The 2006 All-American Game will be cablecast live on Fox Sports Net at 7:00 p.m. (MST) and will feature the nation’s top 36 high school baseball student-athletes
Stoneman Douglas High School along with the game’s producer, SportsLink, will award David his All-American Jersey during today’s baseball game.

Why: The All-American Baseball game brings together 36 elite high school seniors to perform on a national stage. Each athlete’s accomplishments are celebrated during a 36 nation-wide city selection tour honoring his achievements.

From the game’s inauguration in 2002, PlayStation and SportsLink have partnered to produce this annual East vs. West classic founded upon teamwork, athleticism and character.

Among the game’s alumni are several first round MLB draft choices, including Lastings Milledge (OF) of the New York Mets, Blake DeWitt (SS) of the Los Angles Dodgers, and Eric Duncan (1B) and CJ Henry (OF) of the New York Yankees. In 2004, alumnus Mike Rozier (P) signed with the Boston Red Sox, earning him the 2nd highest signing bonus in club history. Entering this year’s draft is 2003 alumnus, Andrew Miller (P), whose performance while at the University of North Carolina could make him this year’s #1 draft pick.
