FAFSA forms should be processed prior to May 15. Pick up forms from your BRACE advisor after December 1. The forms are available in both English and Spanish. You must file one of these forms in order to qualify for federal financial aid funds including the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Stafford Student Loan, Federal College Work Study and for state financial funds including the Florida Student Assistance Grant. In addition, many colleges, universities, other postsecondary institutions and scholarship foundations require that you file a FAFSA in order to qualify for postsecondary assistance funds (some institutions require a supplemental form).
Don't miss out! Scholarship information worth thousands of dollars is at hand in the guidance office! Check the scholarship bulletins published and listen to morning announcements. The BRACE advisor will have the applications on hand and will be ready to assist you in the application process. Additionally, your BRACE advisor can help you in researching scholarship opportunities through the many resource guides and databases available.
