The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a child advocacy association that works for the good of all children. Only members can vote on those issues brought before the school community via a PTO meeting. Paid membership is open to all. Have you seen what your paid membership gets you?

The School Advisory Forum (SAF) is the primary link between school and community. It is an open forum for global and community concerns. Everyone in the school community is a member, is entitled and encouraged to speak and has a vote subject to the bylaws of the individual school, area or district. SAF can take up any issue at any time. It is often the vehicle used to share information about the School Improvement Plan and waiver proposals. Issues and concerns that can addresses can relate to, but are not limited to, such topics as: Boundaries, Charter Schools, Communication, Curriculum, Dress Code, ESE, ESOL, Legislation, Magnet Program, Safety, Testing, and Transportation. The School Advisory Council (SAC) has the task of writing the School Improvement Plan. Our present SAC Chair Person is Karen Senarens. Only elected members, representing all stakeholders may vote and in some schools only the elected members may speak at the SAC meetings. They also oversee the implementation of the School Improvement Plan (Draft).
