Before/Aftercare Information

Cooper City Elementary offers a Before and After School Care Program. Students can register for one or both programs. These programs are available on all regularly scheduled school days. After care is provided on Early Release days beginning at 12:00. Separate fees for before and after care are payable on a "Monthly" basis.

As an example of what our hardworking staff and students complete during their time in aftercare.......see below.
Cooper City Elementary Aftercare students worked on a special undertaking called "Goodnight Wishes".
Students hand sewed pillowcases with special messages and shipped them to the soldiers in Afghanistan.
Pictured below are just a few happy, heroic soldiers who hopefully have peaceful dreams on pillowcases made with love.
We are so proud of our students and soldiers!

* Families with 2 or more children receive a 5% discount on all the remaining siblings after the first child pays the full fee.

Please bring the EXACT amount if you are paying in cash as we cannot make change. Payments can also be made using Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

Before School Care***6:30am - 7:30am

Students meet in the cafeteria. For safety and security, parents are required to sign them in. Students participate in a variety of activities. At 7:30am, students may remain in the cafeteria to purchase and eat breakfast or are escorted to their class locations where they wait in the hallways until their teachers open the doors at 7:55am. ***Before care will be available PENDING MINIMUM ENROLLMENT.

After School Care 2:00pm - 6:00pm

At 2:00pm, kindergarten students are escorted to the cafeteria, all other grades are dismissed to the cafeteria. Attendance is taken while they eat snacks. A healthy snack can be sent or students can purchase snacks from the vending machines. (When sending snacks, please pack separately from lunch and label it for after care.) Between 3:00pm - 5:00pm children participate in a variety of inside and outdoor activities including, Cooking, Writing, Arts & Crafts, Science, Computers, and Character Education. From 5:00pm - 6:00pm children play games, watch TV, movies and listen to stories. For safety and security, parents are required to sign children out and notify After Care of absences and alternate pick up arrangements. A password system is in place for communication with authorized persons.
