BEEP: The Digital Toolbox
This course is an introduction into the wonderful world of BEEP. Participants learn the basics of how to log in to BEEP’s main portal and the resources housed there. Then, they take a closer look at some instantly helpful, really cool, and easy to use tools found in BEEP’s resource links.

Week Two: Atomic Learning
Week Three: Teaching Resources: Web Poster Wizard and Assign-A-Day
Week Four: Teaching Resources: Rubistar and Discovery Education Streaming: Media Types
Week Five: Discover, Education Streaming: Classroom Tools
Week Six: Final Project
Specific Objectives
Participants will:
- learn how to log into to BEEP, navigate the Teacher Portal
- locate lesson plans and instructional resources in Learning Village
- save and modify lesson plans in Learning Village
- locate and view tutorials on self selected application, task, and topic in Atomic Learning
- locate and incorporate various media types found in Discovery Education Streaming into an assignment
- create accounts in various instructional resource sites
- create and save web posters, calendars, and rubrics with URL addresses and link each to the other, including communication with parents
- analyze and modify lesson plans found in Learning Village in order to enhance current classroom instruction
Implementation
Evidence that course content has been transferred to daily instruction might include:
- the ability of students to access lessons from URLs
- the ability of students to manage their assignment electronically
- student achievement on FCAT due to use of district aligned lessons in Learning Village and increase use of district approved videos and other media types that enhance instruction

- score at least 80% or higher on post test

Prerequisites
Participants must possess the following computer skills and software to participate in this course:
- an understanding of your computer’s operating system and software
- the ability to access the Internet and knowledge of Internet search techniques
- the ability to download and install files from the Internet
- an up-to-date antivirus software package
