Math Specifications: 6-8 provides an overview of the Big Ideas and Supporting Ideas and their benchmarks that teachers should be teaching and that students will be held accountable for knowing on the FCAT 2.0 assessment. Participants will review the benchmarks for clarification and understand the importance of the content limits of individual benchmarks as they prepare students for the FCAT 2.0 assessment. The role of prior knowledge and vertical planning will be explained so that teachers can implement the standards into their curriculum and instruction.
