Math Specifications: 3-5 provides an overview of the standards and benchmarks that teachers should be teaching and that students will be held accountable for knowing on the FCAT 2.0 assessment. Participants will review the benchmarks for clarification and understand the importance of the content limits of individual benchmarks as they prepare students for the FCAT 2.0 assessment. The role of prior knowledge and vertical planning will be explained so that teachers can implement the standards into their curriculum and instruction.

Next Generation Centers K-2more information

This course was created to help teachers in grades K-2 design and implement math centers that are aligned to the Next Generation Math Standards. Teachers in grades Kindergarten through second will investigate how math centers can provide differentiated instruction as they are used for three distinct purposes in their classrooms: Exploration/Frontloading, Review and Practice, and Enrichment. During the five weeks, teachers will examine the Big Ideas and Supporting Ideas connected with Number Sense, Geometry, and Algebraic Thinking and how they apply to their grade level.
