This course will help you understand the language of the benchmarks. Disaggregating the benchmarks is a proven strategy that helps identify what students need to know and be able to do. Although the process is simple, the work of disaggregating is intellectually challenging. Disaggregating benchmarks helps teachers clarify the curriculum and focus on what is important for students to learn. The purpose of this course is to provide teachers with a collaborative protocol to use with their grade level teams, in their departments, or with a willing group of colleagues to understand exactly what teachers must do in the classroom to help their students be successful.
