BECON

Friends of BECON is an approved entity of the Broward Education Foundation, Inc. and affiliated with the School Board of Broward County, Florida. The Broward Education Foundation is a not for profit 501(c)(3) organization that by state statute is the Direct Support Organization of the School Board of Broward County. The mission of the Foundation is to augment educational resources for the School Board of Broward County students and teachers to reach their maximum potential and to establish and build an endowment to ensure continuous financial strength for educational enhancement.

Contributions to the Friends of BECON help support the development and production of educational programming on BECON-TV (WBEC), part of BECON, the Broward Education Communications Network. BECON-TV is a broadcast television station licensed by the FCC to provide family-oriented, noncommercial, educational programming to the South Florida community.
