Computer Operations is comprised of four areas: Computer Operations, Production Control, Records Retention and the Service Desk.

Computer Operations is responsible for staffing the data center which operates on a 24/7 schedule except days when schools and administrative offices are closed. 

The Service Desk provides centralized call center support for standard hardware, software, and networking issues. The core service of the Service Desk is to provide "Tier One" technical support to end-users via a centralized call center and email for district standard equipment and software including Apple desktop and laptops, Dell desktop and laptops, Lexmark and HP Printers, Windows Servers, Mac OS X Servers, Telephones, and the TERMS student information system.  All calls are entered into the Remedy Incident Management system, and calls that cannot be resolved at tier one are escalated to "Tier Two" and tracked until resolved. 

Production Control creates the daily schedule of jobs for the TERMS student system, Virtual Counselor, COMPASS work order system, Property and Inventory Reporting and other systems to be run in the data center, and verifies the output. They are also responsible for the coordination and transmitting of student data to the state. Staff teach state reporting requirements training throughout the year and daily assists the schools and departments with their state reporting needs.

The Records Retention unit assists school and district personnel in the maintenance, storage, retrieval and disposition of records, in accordance with the requirements of the Florida Public Records Law.

Link Service Desk - The Mission of the I&T Service Desk is to deliver customer-focused technical support to schools
and departments. The I&T Service Desk provides the first-line of technical support to end-users via a centralized
      call center and email for district standard equipment and software.
