Nominate Your I&T Co-Worker for the Eco Hero of the Month Award!

The I&T Green Team encourages all staff to nominate co-workers for the I&T Eco-Hero of the Month.  Your nominee should be a fellow I&T employee who is promoting, exhibiting or educating others on implementing the principles of the Go Green Program — which is to help reduce the consumption of paper and supplies for printers, copiers, fax machines and other output devices.

Winners will be selected by the I&T Green Team & will be awarded:

1. An Eco-Hero of the Month Certificate

2. A Premiere Parking Space in Front of the Building for a Month

3. A $25 Gift Card from BrightStar Credit Union

Nominations will be judged on how the nominee:

1. Promotes environmental stewardship by modeling green behaviors such as reusing, recycling or reducing consumption of paper, toner supplies for output devices as well as other resources.

2. Creates or modifies guidelines, processes or procedures that encourages paperless workflow for both internal and external I&T customers.  (Example: Revising forms or processes to be digital vs. paper-based.)

3. Educates staff on how to implement strategies to reduce consumption such as scan-to-email, fax-forwarding or duplexing.  (Example: Assist other employees to set-up duplexing as a default.)

4. Promotes I&T programs related to environmental stewardship to raise awareness within I&T and throughout the District.  (Example: ParentLink, OptiSpool/View, Virtual Counselor, Web, etc.)

2. Complete the information and e-mail the form along with any supporting documents to the “I&T Eco Awards” CAB Conference. Please put “I&T Eco-Hero – With the Nominee Name Here” in the subject area.
