Congratulations to Terri Kingsley for being nominated our I&T Eco Hero for July! Terri is responsible for the design and implementation of digital classrooms throughout the district. This not only is significant in that it promotes the enhancement of student achievement but also contributes to paperless classrooms. Rather than having students complete assignments with paper and pencil, students engage in interactive sessions using Promethean and/or Smart boards to learn collaboratively with guidance from the teacher as well as involve all the students in the classroom. To date 2,711 complete digital classrooms have been installed and 1,245 modified digital classrooms have been implemented. This allows those students to learn with 21st Century learning tools.
The Green Team would like to thank Terri Kingsley for promoting environmental stewardship. As the winner, she received $25 from the BrightStar Credit Union and was also given a designated parking spot in front of the TSSC Building for the month. Thanks again for setting a great example of how to be a good environmental steward Terri!
